Ingredients
1 pkg. pie crust mix, or your own recipe
1 lb. ground beef
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 stalk celery
1 yellow summer squash, chopped
1 green squash, chopped
4 oz. tomato sauce
2 Tbsp. Mansmith’s Barbecue Paste
1/4 tsp. Mansmith’s Crusting Rub
2 Tbsp. flour
Instructions
Prepare pie crust, divide in two, and chill for 30 minutes. Brown beef in skillet, transfer to a bowl. In same skillet heat oil over medium heat. Cook vegetables until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in tomato sauce, Mansmith’s Barbecue Paste, and Mansmith’s Crusting Rub. Cool filling. Preheat oven to 400. Line 9″ pie plate with one pie crust. Add filling. Cover with other crust and crimp edges. Bake until golden, 40-50 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
